1st Lampeter Scout Group
The 1st Lampeter Scout Group are a very popular Scouting Group, located in Lampeter, West Wales, where we cater for boys and girls aged between 5½ and 18 years old. Please have a look at the various sections.
As a group we participate in a variety of outdoor and indoor pursuits, ranging from Camping and Wide games to Archery and Athletics. Our aim is to aid the development of our young members through practical training and badge work, making sure that our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers have fun.
We are a bi-lingual group.

In 2008, the 1st Lampeter Scout Group grew by 82%
Well done to all the Cubs and Scouts who attended the Area Camp 2009. It didn't look positive at first as when we arrived the rain was heaving down, bringing back scary memories of the two previous Area camps. But on the Saturday and Sunday the Sun came out, and did it come out. We baked and crisped up after doing a load of activities throughout the two days. It was nice to see all the Cubs and Scouts having a great time, and our lot did us all very proud. Well done to our Scouts for their Beat Box during the campfire on Saturday, we thought you should have won.
Staged IT Badges

In the past 3 months Young Members in the group have taken part in the following: Orienteering, Eco Fashion Show, Rifle Shooting, Archery, Adopted A Polar Bear, International Hike, Camped, Raised over £1,500 and this is just the start...

Gift Aid Forms
Scouting Skills
One of the ways that we raise money is through claiming for Gift Aid from the government. How we do this is by claiming from the amount each members pays the group through subs etc. To do this we need to have a form filled in from each parent, so if you haven't done one, download a form.
If your a Cub, Scout or Explorer, check out out scouting skills section. Most of it you should know but if you don't it can help you out a lot doing badge work or when your on your next camp. If there are any skills not there that you would like to see just contact Akela at Cubs and we'll see what we can do for you.
